MasterPEACE is a series of classroom workshops that teaches middle-school kids how to use personal creative expression to solve problems.  MasterPEACE connects global crises like war and human rights to their more immediate struggles like emotional control, bullying, gangs, and cheating.  The curriculum gives kids tools they need to help “keep the peace” in their own turbulent lives.   The curriculum is adapted from the " Peace One Day Citizen Resource Pack" currently used successfully in the United Kingdom.

 Each session uses a different form of creative expression—visual art, theatrical performance, writing, for example—to drive the lessons.  The arts can serve as a link for communication, which is crucial in how a child relates to society.   The sessions include lessons in:

·               Great Peacemakers Like You and Me

·               Creating a Personal Place of Peace at Home

·               Rewriting the Story: Tools to Stop Bullying

·               Making a Commitment to Your Vision of Peace

Today Marks the Beginning partners with foundations, schools, and other organizations to promote community interaction and help make a positive difference in the lives of all people though creative expression.
